In keeping with the vision and mission of the college, the library services play a vital role in supporting, teaching and learning activities, and provide the main source for individual research at KRCT. Library is meant to help academic community to keep abreast with the latest development in their area of activities and to provide information support for research. At the same time for students, library is a source to get information support for their course curriculum as well as for their self-development.
KRCT Library building spans over an area of 802 sq. mt. It has a seating capacity of 150 persons and follows Open Access System blended with State-of-the art facilities. It has provided with centrally and well-protected with CCTV. The fully automated Learning Centre provides an ambience conducive for the teaching and learning process with the support of 23,342 volumes of text and reference books with RFID based Library Management System.
Rules & Regulations
Students should sign in the gate register.
ID card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
Books removed from the shelves by students/ faculty, if not required for reference, should be kept on the table nearest to them. Please do not try to shelve them yourself.
The members shall satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the books before borrowing. No plea that the book was already damaged will be entertained at the time of the return of the book.
Students are advised not to issue books to others on their names.
Students are advised not to keep their valuable things like cell phone, calculator, wallet etc., in the property counter.
Library authorities are not responsible for any loss of such items.
Use of Library computer for non-academic uses is strictly prohibited.
All users are requested to maintain dignified silence in the library.
Discussions are not allowed inside the library.
Sleeping inside the library is strictly prohibited.
All users are requested to keep their mobiles switched off or in silent mode in the library.
If a member loses or damages any book, he/she shall have to replace the same book. Students shall not be allowed to use Library during the class hours.
The ID Card/Library Token is mandatory for issuing of library books.
Marking, underlining, writing or defacing the books in the library in any form, if detected, will attract fine and other punishments.
The books may be reissued if the same is not in demand. The reissue will be done generally on the physical presentation of the books.
Reference books, bound periodicals / journals and loose issues of periodicals/journals shall not be issued.
Not more than one renewal has already been made by the members consecutively.
Library book must be returned when student go home on long vacation.
An overdue charge of Rs. 0.50/- per day/per book will be charged if the books are not returned to the library when due.
Loss of the library ticket will entail a fine of Rs. 25 /-.
It is the responsibility of the student to return the books on time. No reminders will be sent by the Librarian.
“No dues” certification will be cleared from the library only after the library dues are fully cleared.
The renewal must be made on or before the due date.
Using Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) users can search the library online catalogue by Author, Title and Keywords. Also, the users can know the latest editions of periodicals, books and the status of a document (whether on shelf or on issue).
